CSR Program for Community Kg. Lok Dangkaan
On 15 April 2025, the distribution of food basket aid was successfully
carried out for the community of Kg. Lok Dangkaan. A total of 50 heads of
households (KIR) were identified and listed by the Village Development and
Security Committee (JPKK) of Kg. Lok Dangkaan as aid recipients.
Due to poor road access from Bongkol to Kg. Lok Dangkaan, the delivery
was conducted in stages. The food baskets were first transported by lorry from
Bongkol to Kg. Malubang. From there, the aid was transferred via boat from the
Malubang jetty to reach Kg. Lok Dangkaan.
Upon arrival, the AFI team was warmly received by the local community.
The villagers expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the assistance,
especially as many of them have been unable to go out to sea in recent weeks
due to unfavorable weather conditions affecting their livelihoods.
This effort reflects the ongoing commitment of AFI to support and uplift
communities in remote areas facing logistical and economic challenges.
Townhall Meeting
AFI, through the stakeholder engagement plan, has completed the town hall program for 2024, which involved 39 of 54 villages in the Bengkoka Peninsula. The program at least completed the role of liaising with community leaders, government agencies, NGO’s, and other forestry companies, which are the key stakeholders of AFI. The program came out with a positive impact that generated good rapport with all stakeholders involved through the direct meeting between AFI’s new management, SAFODA, District Office, YB N3 Pitas, Pitas Assistant Collector of Land Revenue (PPHT), PDRM, Forestry Department, Agricultural Department, PPD, Fire and Rescue Department, Native Court, Forest Solution, Ngo’s, community leaders, and the community.
